Is it ever acceptable for a heterosexual man to wear a thong?

Is it ever acceptable for a heterosexual man to wear a thong? Is it ever acceptable for a heterosexual man to wear a thong, provided, of course, that the undergarment is from an authentic line of girls underwear and that the gentleman has a fit body? Under what type of clothing would one be acceptable, if any?

3. Um....I would think this would be up to the guy in question. If he likes to wear thongs then so be it, he ain't hurting anyone and who the hell cares if someone finds it unacceptable. I think there are certain kinds of guys who look sexy in thongs/jockstraps and there are men who just simply can't pull it off.
4. Old Orchard Beach Maine is loaded with fat French Canadian dudes in thongs. Hell, some even just walk around in their underwear. It's true!
5. Hey, it's just clothes, clothes do not have a gender or a sexuality. They are mere fabric. So yes, it is acceptable.

8. They are all the rage in Europe, especially in France and Spain where men are a bit more loose. And there you will see all kinds of men wearing them, no matter what the body shape.
9. "Acceptable" to whom? If someone wants to wear a particular article of clothing, that's their perogative. I always find it interesting that people yammer about how everyone is an individual who has the right to express themselves, then turn around and disapprove of people who do just that.

11. If he doesn't have the body for it, he just looks STOOPID. If he does have the body for it, send me a pic :P It's acceptable if that's what he likes, and whoever he dates likes it as well.
12. Acceptable? I suppose so if the guy wants to wear one. I think in other countries they do. Under what clothing? I thought a thong was like for going swimming. If you mean for underwear whatever clothes he wears, it's covered up so who cares.
13. It's perfectly acceptable for a heterosexual man to wear a thong if he likes wearing thongs. If other people have problems with a straight guy wearing a thong, they're perfectly welcome to keep their comments to themselves.
14. And why not...? Aren't we all "free" to wear what we want..? I'm a long time married cross dresser with a very supportive, understanding, accepting, knowledgeable, and helpful wife, who has taught me all the traits of emulating women from presentation, to walking, standing, sitting, mannerisms, make up, hair, nails etc... This is a lifestyle for me, and I have an extensive wardrobe including 42 pair of HIGH HEELS (and I do mean HIGH) so, as far as I'm concerned as mention earlier, what one wears is their business and if others can't accept this fact - their loss...!!!
