what's your view on swimwear?

just curious, i've heard people say that they really don't care what women wear in public, and then i've heard people say if it were up to them they would have string bikinis banned. what's your opinion? personally i think women should have the right to wear whatever they want at the pool/beach, whether it be a micro bikini or something totally modest.

As long as it doesn't show too much, then I couldn't care less what people wear. When I go to the pool or somewhere, I only worry about what I have on. I don't go to look at what other people wear. If you've got it, flaunt it!
brazillian the smallest bikini possible...who cares what ppl think....get as tan as you can and enjoy life....no one should judge anyone
i get offended when people that shouldn't wear bikinis do. but i mean that's just my problem, if they don't have a problem with it then it's whatever!

I think women should have the right to wear whatever they want unless they are topless or wear something that might shock the majority of the people on the beach.
yeah woman should be able to wear what they want as long as its not seethrough & has a top and bottom to it :)
It's your choice. If you feel comfortable with your body and it is excellent, why not show it off?
I think they should be allowed to wear what they want and show off their body in whatever way they want be that suttle or more obvious. Although I do think little kids wearing like string bikinis is kinda weird.
As long as it doesn't amount to indecent exposure (at law)... whatever they want.

I think you have to wear it of course to the pool but it's like walking around in your bra and underwear.
I think women should be more modest. I mean, holy crap. I went to the beach last summer and there were these huge fat girls in BIKINIS. I mean, its great that they weren't embarassed, but please, spare us the view!
depends on religion i don't really care just as long as it looks good on them
i dont care what other ppl wear. but me personally hates it. lol. i always have just cuz i need a bigger top cuz of my chest and a small bottoms. and it gets expensive!

I agree that people should be free to wear whatever they want, so long as it isn't obscene but it would be nice of some people would realize that there are some fashions that just don't work on them and not subject the rest of us to there bad taste. There are just some images I don't want in my mind, if you know what I mean.
I think that if someone has the figure for a bikini, why not? But don't get upset of guys stare. Besides, we're more modest than the Germans; they go topless.

well if women shud have the ri8 to wear anything but wearing does not mean get naked and show every body part i knwo ppl who wear bikinis so short u cant even see them all u can see is body ............. but u know u can cover ur whole body and still swim .....
well it really doesnt matter what someone wears but please big girls cover up, i am a short but big and i think its so nasty when heavu people try to dress like there a size 5 it just does not work very well
yeah i agree is it our fault the buyers for buying someones desighne tht was too small or shows too much?no its not and its just a swimsuit itsnot like we wear it to go shopping or to skool or anything we can wear wat ever we want to the pool
Personally I think it depends on where they wear them. At your own private pool wear whatever. Out at a public place, please make sure you covered your parts, because there are kids out there.
I think women should wear whatever they want. I personally wear bikinis not because I'm trying to be sexy or offend anyone, but because one piece swimsuits are very uncomfortable for me. They push down on my shoulders and flatten my breasts and that doesn't feel so good! Really, I think people need to realize that at a public pool or beach you're going to see skin. Sometimes I see guys in speedo and I'd really rather not see that, but hey, it's a public swimming area! It's not my place to say what someone can or can't wear.
i think its all about confidence. I lifeguard at a resort so i see like 300 people a day in swimsuits. I have seen some girls who probably dont have the body for a bikini but look gorgeous anyways b/c they have that "im beautiful" confidence. Ive also seen twig girls wear bikinis and they are trying to hold their bellys and cover their butts when they run and they look ridiculous! when you put attention to a bad spot ppl notice it. I mean i have gotten So many complaints from chubby girls about not being able to wear shorts in the pool. You try and tell them the rules and they freak right out saying "so your going to make me reveal something i dont want to and feel uncomfortable??!" well then why are you wearing it to begin with? I think that you should be able to wear whatever you are feeling good in to an extent. If you feel good in it, you look good in it.
ok it all depends on your body type if your thick or skinny try and stay away from string bikini's they make your body look worse than it is if your curvy wear a bikini that accents your attributes slutty bikinis arent always bad looking the only ones who get upset are those who look ridiculous in those type of bikinis so stick with what fits your body best
I think people should be able to wear whatever they want. But I don't think people should just be allowed to walk around in public somewhere where there is no pool or beach in a string bikini or any bikini.
Personally, I think there's something really wrong with people who want to "ban" things. Not only do they have weird issues with whatever it is that they want to ban, but they also have control and power issues that they insist in taking out on everyone. There's no such thing as "real" freedom, even in the freest country in the world. Why are you picking on women anyway??? And as for the children, the sooner you show them reality, the sooner they'll come to accept it.
you should realize their are children @ the beach , it is a family place , what is wrong with you ?? , if you are comfy around your own child like that , it is a good thing you aren't a teacher . of course you have to respect yourself before you respect others and their family . there is a problem with people who think this way

When I was a size 10 I loved cute swimwear. Now I know swimwear is made by truly evil people but If you have got the bod' go for it. If you are a bikini whale (shamelessly stolen from a B52s song about girls who stuff themselves into bikinis they are too big to be wearing) buy a mirror.
